Open Access and Accessibility

Open Access

Harvard Library Bulletin is Harvard Library's open access journal. This commitment means we do not charge authors to publish with us or pay a fee to make their work open access, or charge readers to access our content. Authors always retain copyright. We make any software code and data sets we create freely available.

Accessibility

All born-digital content in Harvard Library Bulletin conforms to the Harvard University Digital Accessibility Policy, which uses as its standard The Worldwide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1, Level AA Conformance (WCAG 2.1 Level AA).
Much of the HLB print archive was produced before digital printing was widely used. PDFs of print archive materials were converted from Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology; however, accuracy varies depending on print quality.
We encourage readers who experience accessibility issues with PDFs from the HLB print archive to contact us so we can remediate the problematic document.
